*四川**地震捐款号召***

 

    2008年5月12日，中国四川省汶川县发生了7.8级的特大地震，截至5月13日16
时不完全统计，四川省内遇难人数已超过12000人，受伤人数26206人，被埋9404
人，倒塌和损坏房屋346万间，财产遭受巨大损失。

 

    耶鲁大学中国学生学者联合会（ACSSY）向所有在地震中受难的同胞致哀，并
会尽全力向在此次地震中受到影响的耶鲁学生学者提供帮助。

 

    地震消息传出以后，耶鲁大学的学生学者和大New Haven地区的康州华人对灾
情表示了关切，并多次询问赈灾捐款事宜。ACSSY决定组织捐款，现将其他捐款途
径说明如下：

*A. **网上捐款***

*B. **现场捐款一***

   时间：五月十七日，周六晚，7:00 pm 电影放映期间

       捐款方式：ACSSY接受支票和现金形式捐款，支票收款方（Pay to the
order of）须填写“ACSSY”，“事由”（For）须注明“Earthquake Relief
Donation”，ACSSY将汇总捐款全数交由中国驻纽约总领馆。

http://redcross.org.cn，点击“网上捐赠”栏目，按照提示操作即可。

 

通过驻纽约总领馆捐款：总领馆可以接受支票形式捐款，支票可面交或邮寄。支票
“收款方”（Pay to the order of）需填写“Chinese Consulate General in New
York”，“事由”（For）需注明“Earthquake Relief Donation”。支票邮寄地址为：
Liu Lei, 520 12th Ave, New York, NY 10036。请捐款侨胞留下具体姓名和联系
方式（包括邮寄地址、联系电话等），以便开具收据、及时反馈。如有其它问题，
请致电212-244-9392，分机：1000。

 

除此之外,康州华人也计划进行一系列的赈灾活动, ACSSY将及时向大家更新.

Earthquake Relief Donation
Tuesday, 13 May 2008
On May 12, 2008, a magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck Weichuan County of China's Sichuan Province. 24 hours after the earthquake, the death toll has climbed above 12000. More than 26,000 people are injured, while more than 9000 are still missing. The earthquake toppled or damaged 3.46 million buildings causing enormous property losses.

 

The Association of Chinese Students and Scholars at Yale (ACSSY) offers our condolences to all the Chinese people who suffer in the earthquake. ACSSY will endeavor to help Yale students and scholars whose families and friends are influenced in the disaster.

 

Soon after the news of the earthquake broke, Yale students and scholars and Chinese living in the Greater New Haven area have expressed their concerns and inquired about possible donations for earthquake relief. Upon these requests, ACSSY decides to organize a donation drive, and hereby explains the options for donations.

 

1. Donation via ACSSY

      A. Online Donation

      Paypal account: service@acssy.org

      B. On-site Donation, Option 1

      Time: May 17th, Saturday, 7:00 PM, during the movie

      Location: Davis Auditorium, Becton Center, 15 Prospect St., New Haven, CT 06511

      Details: ACSSY accepts cash and checks for donations. Please make your check payable to ACSSY, for “Earthquake Relief Donation”. ACSSY will collect and send all the donations to the China Consulate-General in New York.

    C. On-site Donation, Option 2

    ACSSY will organize on-site donations in the university cafeterias. Details of the events will be provided shortly.

2.   Other Options

     A. China Red Cross

     B. Donation via the China Consulate-General in New York

     The Consulate-General accepts checks for donation. Please make your check payable to “China Consulate General in New York” for “Earthquake Relief Donation.” The mailing address is Liu Lei, 520 12th Ave, New York, NY 10036. Please leave your name and contact info. (including your mailing address and telephone number) for receipt and feedbacks. For questions concerning donations, please call 212-244-9392, at 100.

 

The Chinese community in Connecticut will organize other donation drives. ACSSY will keep you updated.

各位同学，各位朋友：

康州支持奥运和平委员会现紧急召集本地同心同德之爱国友朋，共赴纽约参加5月4日和平集会。

委员会成员早于前两周就与纽约组织者进行了接触，但是由于集会地点始终未能确定，故而暂未在网上发布。刚刚接到纽约方面的电话，集会地点到目前为止仍在争取中，但是他们决定集会时间不变。所以，我们抓紧最后几天，恳请愿为祖国和奥运加油喝彩的朋友们火速报名。

因为当日具体情况的不确定性，目前集会方式将有如下两种可能性：

1、纽约组织者成功申请到City Hall Park，大家前往参加集会

2、未能申请到City Hall Park，大家先到一个地方集中，然后分为50人以下的若干小组，分散到指定地点集会。

委员会将根据人数来确定交通方式。如果报名者超过50人以上，将安排大巴往返。如果不足50人，考虑在New Haven Train Station集合，一起坐火车前往，或者安排Carpool。由于本次活动为自发组织，各项费用均由各人承担，望大家体谅。

 

另：纽约5月4日和平集会印制了统一T恤，捐款10元，可以预订T恤一件。请大家报名的时候，注明是否需要预订T恤及件数。没有在报名表上注明的朋友，只有到现场自行购买了。
